Celeste at 22 months

During the 4 weeks from 21 to 22 mths, Celeste seems to have made a number of decisions and implemented changes.

As we’d indicated before she started potty training herself on Feb 17th and now asks to use the potty to pee during the day (sometimes) and uses it every night before her bath. When she doesn’t bother to use the potty she asks me to “change da diaper mummy”.

On March 7th, we got another surprise. While she has been taking her afternoon naps in her room for several months, she had continued to sleep with us at night. On March 7th, at bedtime, instead of gathering her teddy bears and bringing them to our bed as usual, she marched with them into her bedroom and climbed on her bed ready for sleep. She still wants company for part of the night but we’re hoping that in 2-3 weeks she’ll stay there on her own all night.

Other things that as doting parents we’re impressed by include:

  • Making proper sentences
  • Counting from 1 to 5 consistently and from 1 -10 occasionally
  • dancing, singing, painting etc.

You get the picture, everything she does is amazing and impressive to us
