When we moved to the UK, Kim and I decided to join the English Heritage. You pay an annual membership fee, and you are entitled to enter many of the castles and historic sites for free, or for a smaller fee than normal entrance fee. The first place we went to, and where we joined, was the Portchester Castle which is about 1 1/2 miles from where we live. We attended a medieval reenactment event….the Battle of Agincourt.

About a month after this event, Kim received a call from the English Heritage. It turns out she was the 500,000th member to join the English Heritage!!!! They wanted to do a photo shoot with her, and she will appear in the December magazine. She also won a very nice hamper.

She and Celeste went back to the castle for the photo shoot, where Celeste just wowed everyone, and ended up getting a lot of free stuff from the gift shop!!
