Brendan was in his chair crying while Kim was preparing to bathe him. He was screaming quite loudly when Celeste went over, without any prompting from us, to try and get him to stop crying. She succeeded, but Kim and I were amused with all the various things she told him while trying to get him to stop crying.

Some of the things she told him were:

“Brendan, we are not mad at you. Settle down.”
“Brendan, you just need to bath and the bath will be nice”
“Settle down Brendan, settle down”
“It’s OK. It’s OK Brendan”
“It’s OK Brendan. You don’t need to worry”
“Brendan, calm down and take a deep breath”

Needless to say, Celeste has taken on the role of the big sister very quickly. She enjoys helping to bath him and changing his diaper. She would also try to comfort him if he’s crying.
