In 3 days time, on August 17th, Brendan will be 9 months old. He is progressing quite rapidly. As you may have seen from his pictures, he is turning into quite a climber. We have to keep a close eye on him. We hvae this play-pen fencing area with a lot of small holes in it. On a couple occassions, we found him ON the fence, having climbed up on it. On both occassions, he got “stuck” and had to helped down.

The biggest milestone for us recently has to be his drinking from a bottle. This was something we never got Celeste to do. It is still breast milk as he refuses to drink formula, but at least now, we have some flexibility and if Kim and I wanted to go out, we can be assurred that he would at least be able to feed in our absence. This all came out of necessity when Kim was hospitalized a couple weeks ago, but that is another story.

Brendan isn’t walking as yet, but we have noticed him “letting go” every now and again.

His is starting to eat more and more solids. He seems to especially like the saltier foods like fries and Ritz crackers.
