Losing 40 lbs
As of today, I have managed to lose 40lbs since the end of June. This was done by a combination of watching what I eat and running. I have been gradually building up how much I run. I’m now running 16 miles/week (and building) with a long run of 6 miles on Sunday. Today, I ran the 6 miles in 1:00:17. My goal is to be running 25 miles/week by the end of the year.
I have a 5K race on November 5th and aspiraions of running the Dallas marathon in December 2007. That gives me just over a year to prepare and build up even more mileage.
I still haven’t reached my weight loss goal. My first goal was to actually lose 50 lbs by the end of the year so I have 10 more lbs to go. That should definitely be doable by Thanksgiving. My next goal would be to lose an additonal 20 lbs to reach a final weight of 160 lbs.
